Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms on top of the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the filling.
  6. Carefully roll the dough into a log shape, sealing the edges.
  7. Place the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Make a few slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
